| Concacaf Statement regarding the acts of violence that occurred in Queretaro, Mexico Miami, FL – The shocking acts of vandalism and violence that occurred last night in Queretaro, Mexico, have no place in football or society. The thoughts of everyone at Concacaf are with the victims of these awful events, and their families. Concacaf wholly condemns these types of behaviors. We call on the local authorities to fully investigate these criminal acts, and to hold accountable those who have tarnished our game. The Confederation also believes that strong football sanctions must be applied and will provide any necessary support to the FMF and Liga MX as they investigate. |
| Declaración de Concacaf sobre los actos de violencia ocurridos en Querétaro, México Miami, FL – Los impactantes actos de vandalismo y violencia ocurridos anoche en Querétaro, México, no tienen lugar en el fútbol ni en la sociedad. Los pensamientos de todos en Concacaf están con las víctimas de estos terribles eventos y sus familias. Concacaf condena totalmente este tipo de comportamientos. Hacemos un llamado a las autoridades locales para que investiguen a fondo estos actos criminales y responsabilicen a quienes han manchado nuestro juego. La Confederación también cree que se deben aplicar fuertes sanciones deportivas y brindará el apoyo necesario a la FMF y la Liga MX mientras investigan. |
