A presentation was given by the Deputy Information Commissioner regarding the Data Protection Bill which, once approved by Cabinet, should take approximately one year to implement. More information will be available on their website which is currently under construction. The Information Commissioner will be meeting individually with Chief Officers to discuss this matter further.
The information Commissioner reiterated to Chief Officers, how important it is to stay involved with any internal reviews in which they are involved. The date of the 2012 ‘Right to Know’ day will be 28th September. A Seminar will be held for Chief Officers with the Governor and Deputy Governor being keynote speakers.
Performance Management
The new Performance Management template was then presented by PoCS. This template has been developed to enhance the Performance Management system to allow the user to have more access to data relating to their Ministry/Portfolio/Department. All information about Performance Agreements/Assessment will be stored on a specific drive which will be used only for this purpose. More information about the saving and storing of this information will be provided once the new Performance Management system is fully operational.
The Work Hours Policy is now complete and CO McField-Nixon will circulate to all Chief Officers.
The 3rd revision of the Sexual Harassment Policy will be circulated by CO McField-Nixon, to Chief Officers for comment.
The question was raised regarding whether the Government Administration Building should be used as a hurricane shelter for employees. It was suggested by the Deputy Governor that this item should be put on the agenda for the next meeting (25th June 2012) to discuss further with CO Jones.
