Bush announces “Ironwood” project to “Go East”

It has been announced that Eagle Assets Management will be creating an “Ironwood” community over a period of six years in an area of 430 acres that will span the two districts of North Side and East End.

The news release from the company says the project will cost $300 million and will be a town centre, residential community, 18-hole golf course, a sports village, tennis courts, movie theatre, shopping and tourist accommodations.

Premier McKeeva Bush mentioned the project in his reply to the Budget Debate in the Legislative Assembly last week, Thursday (28) when he said, “This development will provide the convenience and catalyst that the eastern half of [Grand Cayman] has long needed.”

The project is supposed to start later this year.

Like everything else slated we will wait and see.
