Police can confirm that two men, aged 23 and 27 years, have been charged in connection with the Cayman National Bank robbery. They have been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

In addition, two further arrests were made this weekend in connection with the crime. This brings the total number of arrests to six; the 29-year-old man who appeared in court last week and was remanded; the two people charged this morning who are expected to appear in court later today and, of the three others, two remain in police custody and one was released on police bail.

WOMAN ARRESTED

Police can confirm another arrest has been made in relation to the Cayman National Bank Robbery.

A 40-year-old woman was arrested earlier today, Monday 9 July, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. She remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
