Cayman Islands to host brewers convention
It has just been announced that James Mansfield of Cayman Islands Brewery has been elected as the president of the Caribbean district of the Master Brewers’ Association of the Americas.
The Cayman Islands will also be hosting the annual brewers’ convention for the Caribbean region in May 2013. The convention will feature all of the Caribbean members of the association as well as some North American brewers and suppliers.
James Mansfield was born in the UK, and has worked for Guinness on both the beer and spirits division over a period of 14 years. He was posted overseas in 1996 with the company as Market Manager based in Barbados and covering the entire Caribbean. After a two year spell in Trinidad as General Manager Guinness Caribbean Ltd, he moved to Florida as Regional Marketing Manager for the Caribbean, based in Boca Raton. In 2003 he moved to The Cayman Islands as Sales and Marketing Manager for Cayman Distributors until it was sold.
James joined the Cayman Islands Brewery in March 2009 as the Commercial Manager, overseeing the domestic operation and international brands.
