Miami, FL (Friday, July 21, 2023) – Skyworx Drone Shows, a world-renowned leader in drone entertainment, took center stage in downtown Miami for an awe-inspiring 500-drone light show, marking the start of the FIFA’s Women’s World Cup and serving as a send-off for the six Concacaf women’s national teams – Canada, Costa Rica, Haiti, Jamaica, Panama, and the United States – participating in the ninth edition of the tournament, which is being co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand with a record-high 64 matches played across 10 stadiums.
The spectacular drone show honored the six competing teams and served as a good luck and farewell gesture as they prepare to compete on the global stage in a tournament that is certain to showcase the very best of women’s football.
The night sky over Miami was illuminated with a mesmerizing display as Skyworx Drone Shows orchestrated a perfectly synchronized flight of 500 drones to create images of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy, each of the flags of the six competing Concacaf teams and other impressive football imagery. The event was hosted in partnership with Telemundo and Peacock, as the network will be providing unprecedented coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup right through to the Final on August 20.
“We are honored to have been part of this historic celebration and send-off for Concacaf’s women’s national teams,” expressed Taylor Woodall, founder of Skyworx Drone Shows. “Through our drone light show, we aimed to capture the essence of unity and excitement that surrounds the women’s game while paying tribute to the teams’ remarkable achievements.”
Last week, Skyworx captivated audiences with another spectacular 500-drone light show promoting the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup Final, which was played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on July 16th. This dazzling display served as a celebration for the Gold Cup Finalists, Mexico and Panama – and previewed a compelling final that saw Mexico emerge victorious to secure the title of 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup Champions!
