From RCIPS

Shortly after 5:00AM this morning, Saturday 7 October, police and other emergency services responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Shamrock Road, in the vicinity of Matilda Drive.

Initial reports indicate the vehicle was travelling eastbound when it left the roadway and collided with a wall.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 24-year-old man of Bodden Town, was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The RCIPS expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

The matter is being investigated by the Traffic & Roads Policing Unit and anyone with any information is asked to contact 649-6254.
