Customised Training Popular for Local Businesses

During the week of June 25th, two groups of employees from the Cayman Islands Airport Authority (CIAA) completed a Customized Training programme on Basic Grammar & Writing Skills Part 1 and 2.  This was delivered by Professional Development & Training Centre (PD&TC) facilitator Catherine Tyson.  Participants learned the practical approach to the basics of good grammar and writing, which is a must for anyone who has to communicate in writing. Topics covered included:

  • The mechanics of vocabulary – prefixes, roots and suffixes
  • Overview of key spelling rules
  • Standard English grammar with an emphasis on correct usage
  • The writing process: getting started, organizing information, drafting, and revising

Also offered as part of the regularly scheduled training workshops at the Chamber’s offices, anyone interested in attending these Grammar courses are welcome to register for the next session which will be held on August 2nd 2012.  The regular cost for individuals is as follows: $150 (Members); $225 (Future Members) .
