IOC Executive Board approves three changes of nationality

12 Oct 2023 – During the first day of its meeting today, held in Mumbai, India, the International Olympic Committee Executive Board (EB) accepted three applications for a change of nationality.
In view of the Olympic Games Paris 2024:
- Maxine Esteban – Fencing – from the Philippines to Ivory Coast
- Saeid Mollaei – Judo – from Mongolia to Azerbaijan
In view of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026:
- Campbell Wright – Biathlon – from New Zealand to USA
The EB granted the requested exemption to the three-year waiting period, with the prior agreement from the respective International Federations and National Olympic Committees concerned, in accordance with BLR 2 to Rule 41 of the Olympic Charter.
