MaplesFS, a leading independent global fund services and fiduciary services provider, has further expanded its presence and regional commitment in the Middle East with the hire of Chandan Bhatia, Vice President of Fund Services. MaplesFS’ growth is based on increased launches in private equity and hedge funds, conversions from other service providers, and organic growth from existing fund manager clients.

In his new role, Bhatia will have operational responsibility for the fund accounting and investor services teams in Dubai and will compliment the dedicated client service team structure. The MaplesFS team in Dubai provides tailored and flexible fund administration solutions to both private equity and hedge fund managers throughout the MENA Region.

Bhatia is joining MaplesFS from UBS Fund Services in the Cayman Islands, where he was responsible for accounting, administration and financial reporting for various hedge funds with more than 1 billion in assets. Prior to that, he worked at Deloitte & Touche in the Cayman Islands, where he led a team of 25 accountants on engagements for public and non-public investment funds. Bhatia also worked at Deloitte & Touche in the United Stated before relocating to the Cayman Islands with the company. Bhatia started his career at KMPG in Dubai, where he worked on the Information Risk Management Team. He attended the Center for American Education in Dubai and Indiana University.
