GIS Press Release: Blackout Affects Immigration

The Department of Immigration’s public counter and headquarters are operating as usual despite the electrical blackout this morning (Wednesday, 25 July).  However, the Call-Centre is not functional. Clients can instead email: [email protected].

The Passport and Corporate Services section, located in the adjacent Sussex House, is offering limited services.   Clients may pick up completed corporate documents, special marriage licences, passports and waivers.  However, no new applications will be accepted until the power has been restored.

Travellers should arrive early, and expect some processing delays at the Owen Roberts International Airport because of the reduced capacity, as the airport is operating on emergency power.
