AACT Virtual Masterclass: A CAPITAL CAMPAIGN CASE STUDY – SO YOU WANT TO RENOVATE A CITY BLOCK INTO A THEATRE CAMPUS (W/O ANY DEBT): Thurs, November 2
Masterclass Description:
When Michael Cochran joined the staff, Market House Theatre (MHT) was just one building–a former farmer’s market rented from the city of Paducah. Now, the MHT campus consists of 11 buildings, including a studio theatre, event spaces, dance and music studios, guest artist apartments, a courtyard performance/event space, and more. Join Michael as he shares the challenges and the successes of MHT’s 10-year Creative Placemaking project, one of the largest historic preservation projects in Paducah’s history. Topics include fundraising, construction oversight, and hard lessons learned.
