GRAND CAYMAN (THE CAYMAN ISLANDS) – NOVEMBER 10, 2023 — RBC Royal Bank (Cayman) Limited, “RBC” announced today their commitment to the Cayman Arts Festival (CAF) Brass Band Programme. With this sponsorship RBC is supporting CAF’s aim to not only bring world-class performing arts to the Cayman Islands to inspire and entertain, but also to educate and foster music appreciation in our youth.

CAF’s Brass Band Programme, originating in 2018 with just a few students, is now over 25 students strong with participants from Clifton Hunter High School, John Gray High School, John A. Cumber Primary School and George Town Primary School. These students now have the opportunity to learn to play an array of brass instruments including trumpets, euphoniums, trombones and tubas.

“RBC is proud to support CAF with worthwhile musical education for Caymanian youth, providing a positive environment for children to develop skills, discipline and purpose. It’s a further testament to RBC’s commitment to our community and long-standing presence in Cayman,” said Ericka Rolle, AVP Personal Banking and Country Head at RBC.

CAF’s Executive Director, Marius Gaina said RBC’s sponsorship will go a long way in helping to fund student lessons, instrument procurement, and instrument maintenance.

“We are absolutely thrilled with RBC’s commitment to supporting the growth of our Brass Band programme. We have seen first-hand how RBC’s initial support helped our string instrument programme flourish over the past nine years. We are immensely grateful to RBC for entrusting us with their support and helping us bring musical dreams to life for local students once more. Thank you!”
