New report: 43.2 million people suffer from hunger in Latin America and the Caribbean, a region with high levels of overweight and obesity

Despite halting the upward trend in the last period, hunger levels in the region remain above the 2019 figures prior to the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, 8.6% of children under five years of age are overweight.

PAHO announces Malaria Champions of the Americas 2023

Founded in 1902, it is the world’s oldest international public health agency. It serves as the Regional Office of WHO for the Americas and is the specialized health agency of the Inter-American system.
