[Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – December 19, 2023] – “Christmas at the Castle” at Pedro St. James on December 10th signaled the festive season with a vibrant celebration of Caymanian culture. This public event on the Great Lawn of the National Historic Site was a collaborative effort by the Cayman Islands National Attractions Authority (CINAA) and Pedro St. James, designed to unite a wide range of individuals in festive joy.

Patrick Thompson, Director of CINAA, shared his perspective: “We were honored to provide a venue that not only celebrated the festive season but also served as a beacon of community and history. Our intent was to create an environment where memorable experiences could be etched into the fabric of our shared history.”

The event offered family-oriented festivities, featuring Santa Claus and performances by local artists such as the CNCF Folk Singers, Rashana Hydes, the Williams Quartet, and the Barbados Rock Band. Radiance Dance Studio and the C.I Dance Company also added to the merriment with their dance acts.

Significant figures, including the Honorable Minister of Tourism and Ports, Mr. Kenneth Bryan, delivering the Christmas Message, and Ms. Heather Bodden, MP for Savannah, contributing to the raffle, enhanced the event’s communal spirit. The evening also supported Meals on Wheels, with funds raised aiding their mission to feed seniors and the disabled in Grand Cayman.
