International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame Now Accepting Nominations for Local Honourees by April 12
The International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame (ISDHF) Board of Directors and the Cayman Islands Ministry and Department of Tourism advise nominations close tomorrow Friday 12 for the 2024 Honouree and 2024 Emerging Honouree categories.
The International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame (ISDHF) Board of Directors and the Cayman Islands Ministry and Department of Tourism advise that nominations for the 2024 Honouree and 2024 Emerging Honouree categories close Friday 12th April. These awards recognise individuals and their contributions to the scuba diving and water sports industry in the Cayman Islands. The selected honourees will be awarded during the annual ISDHF Induction Ceremony.
The criteria for submission is that the individual must have made a significant contribution by leading or aiding in the areas of water sports and dive in the Cayman Islands through development, promotion, positive environmental impact, dive travel, art, education, explore or adventure.
Individuals being nominated for Honouree must have made their contributions prior to 2013. Introduced in 2017, the Emerging Honouree category recognises young and upcoming locals making significant contributions to the industry in the Cayman Islands and to be considered should have made their contribution from 2013 and be under the age of 35.
Nominations can be made via an online form on the ISDHF website (www.isdhf.com) and the deadline for submissions is 12:00pm on Friday, 12 April 2024.
The ISDHF Board of Directors will review nominations and successful honourees will be contacted by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism.
Previous recipients include Gay Cokendoper-Morse (2023 Honouree), Kameron D’Hue (2023 Emerging Honouree), Dr. Carrie Manfrino (2019 Honouree), Anthony Scott (2016 Honouree) and Captain Marvin Ebanks (2012 Honouree).
