Cayman: Police Investigate Robbery Incident on West Bay Road, George Town, 2 May

Just before 4:30PM yesterday May 3, police were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a robbery incident that had taken place at a restaurant on West Bay Road in George Town.

It was reported that a man entered the establishment and went directly to the restroom, after emerging he approached the cashier, pointed a what appears to a silver hand gun at the employee. The employee ran away from the man who then jumped over the counter and stole the cash register with a quantity of cash inside, then made off from the location on a bicycle.

The man was said to have been tall, slim built, with dark complexion and was wearing a white tank top, blue shorts and had his head wrapped in a mask.
