Cayman: Police Investigate Wounding Incident in West Bay

Just after 10:10PM on Saturday 4 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a report of a wounding incident that was believed to have taken place on Birch Tree Hill Road.
Officers attended the location and met with one of the parties involved. They observed that the man had a single stab wound to the abdomen and informed the police that he was involved in an altercation with another man, which resulted in him sustaining the injury. The other party involved had left the location prior to the arrival of the police.
The injured man was transported to the hospital by ambulance and treated for a serious but non-life-threatening injury and later released.
