Cayman: DVDL Driving Examination Office & Inspection Pits Closed on Thursday, June 13,2024
Grand Cayman; June 12,2024 – The Department of Vehicle and Drivers’ Licensing (DVDL) wishes to advise the public that it’s Driving Examination Office and both Inspection Pits (Breakers and Crewe Road locations) will be closed on Thursday, June 13, 2024 to facilitate a Staff Training.
All other departments will remain open.
All locations of the DVDL will resume business as usual on Friday, 14 June 2024.
DVDL apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
Customers are reminded that they can renew their vehicle and drivers’ licenses online via DVDL’s website at http://www.dvdl.gov.ky .

Under the Traffic Act, the Department of Vehicles and Licensing in the Cayman Islands was established to assume a comprehensive range of responsibilities. These include inspecting and testing vehicles, registering motor vehicles, maintaining the register, issuing licenses for both vehicles and drivers, conducting driving tests and fulfilling any other functions assigned periodically.
