Hurricane Beryl

According to NWS and HMCI *at the moment* we are expecting the following:

1. Onset of tropical storm force winds early on Wednesday evening. 

2. ⁠Beryl will pass approx 115 miles S of GCM at around 4 am on Thursday morning with end of Tropical Storm force winds at about 7-8 am. 

3. ⁠FOR GCM – Winds on Wednesday night will be NE at 20-25 knots increasing to 40-50 knots with higher gusts on Thursday with winds out of the E-SE. Seas on Thursday expected to be 10-16 ft with a possible additional 5’ of storm surge. Rainfall of about 2-3 inches on Thursday. 

4. ⁠For Sis Is: winds on Thursday E-SE at 30-35 knots. Rainfall about 1 inch expected.

5. The following shelters in GCM are on standby for opening: WB Prinary School Hall, John Gray High School gym, BT Primary, Clifton Hunter High School gym and East End Civic Centre.
