Update: Serious Collision in Bodden Town now confirmed as fatal
Police can now confirm that a East End resident, age 60, who was the driver of a Honda Fit that was involved in the collision has succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the attending doctor at the hospital. The RCIPS expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.
The driver of the second vehicle, an Izuzu Elf, remains in hospital being treated for what is believed to be serious injuries.
The roadway has now been cleared and re-opened. A police investigation into this incident is now underway and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Bodden Town Police Station at 947- 2220.

Just after 2: 30am today, 6 July, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Pasture Drive, Bodden Town.
The drivers of both vehicles involved in the collision were transported to the hospital by ambulance with what appears to be serious injuries. Police and fire remain on the scene carrying out accident investigations.
Shamrock Road will closed at this time while these investigations are being conducted and there are no diversion routes for motorists at this location. The RCIPS investigative team is working expeditiously to process the scene in order to allow the flow of traffic as soon as possible.
