PS Audio: Jazz Classics: 1950s
Well-recorded jazz is a staple in any good audiophile collection. In looking at our own collections, Paul and I felt like some of the classics could be updated, recorded in DSD 256 and enjoyed in a new way. So, we took matters into our own hands and created Jazz Classics: 1950s. This is a collection of some of what we think are the best compositions of that era, arranged by Octave artist Tom Amend, and executed by the best jazz musicians in the Denver, CO scene.
Jazz Classics: 1950s is turning out to be the perfect soundtrack for my summer. I put it on while prepping dinner or listen with the lights low after the kids have gone to bed.

Recreated 1950s Classics
Audiophiles seem to always be chasing after the best jazz recordings they can find and we don’t often find them recorded in DSD256. We decided to take matters into our own hands here at Octave Records and recreate some of the jazz classics that are well-known and well-loved across time. Jazz Classics: 1950s kicks off our mission of recording some of our favorite jazz compositions in high-quality DSD. Recorded at Octave Studios by Paul McGowan, this collection of music captures some of the best of the 1950s.
