Cayman: PACI Cargo Port Outline Business Case and Master plan

The Ministry of Tourism & Ports invites the public to two public consultation meetings to gather input for the Outline Business Case and Master Plan regarding the expansion of the cargo port facility site. These meetings are part of the Cayman Islands Government’s ongoing commitment to transparency and community involvement in major infrastructure projects.

In addition to the two in-person meetings the public will also have the opportunity to provide their feedback via an online survey which is available for a period of 7 days until Friday 2ndAugust.

In-Person Meeting Details:

Commenting on the public consultation process, Hon. Kenneth Bryan, Minister of Ports stated, “these consultations are an opportunity for residents to share their opinions, ask questions and provide feedback on the cargo port development project. The input received will play a crucial role in the decision-making process, ensuring that the chosen option meets the needs and expectations of the community.”

Consequently, the Minister is urging the public and all interested parties to attend and participate in these sessions. “We often hear feedback that the public wants more information from government and yet when public meetings are held attendance is poor. I am appealing to the public to make the effort to attend as your feedback is vital in helping us make informed decisions that reflect the community’s vision for the future of our cargo port and the economic development of the Cayman Islands.”
