Lifetime Achievement Award Presented to Manuel Cuevas at the Rhinestone Gala

Manuel Cuevas, the iconic Nashville Fashion Designer, will be honored at the Royal Rhinestone Gala in
Nashville, on September 28 at the Sonesta Hotel Nashville Airport to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award is given in honor of his works for building an international brand that conveys goodwill among
nations. His recognition among the royalty and elites in the entertainment industry is well acknowledged and as a tribute to him. Manuel dressed Hank Williams, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Johnny Cash, Porter Wagoner, country- rock pioneer Gram Parsons and hundreds in between. From Elvis Presly, Elton John to Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Dolly Parton and Kid Rock, to name several, Manuel has brought his trademark glitter and shine to the international stage.

His daughter, Morelia, and granddaughter of the late Nudie Cohn, will MC the portion of the Gala regarding the Manuel Tribute, as models will display some of his internationally recognized pieces of clothing.

The former Vice President and First Lady of Liberia, Her Excellency Jewel Howard-Taylor has generously
accepted the role of Global Patron for World Orphans Day. Her Excellency is the newly appointed Secretary- General of the African First ladies Peace Mission, Madam Taylor’s passion and commitment to unity, peace and well-being of children is well recognized and revered across Africa. She will be sending her video presentation.

Cheryl Robeson-Piggott announced the confirmation of 2 more First Ladies and their Ambassadors and
dignitary entourages will be joining in the Summit. First Lady Monica Chakwera of Malawi will be attending as well as First Lady Kartumu Yarta Boakai of Liberia. First Lady Janet Museveni of Uganda has graciously sponsored her representative Dr. Jolly Kaguhangire, who is head of the UWESO organization for Orphans care in Uganda.

One of the top featured items of the Silent and Live Auction will be the beautiful quilt that The Stars Foundation received from Her Excellency Jewel Howard-Taylor that was made at the School of the Jewel Starfish Foundation. Madam Taylor signed it. Also available for Auction are signed Guitars by Dolly Parton and Vince Gill, Kid Rock, Big Machine’s Riley Green, Tennessee cufflinks donated by Senator Marsha Blackburn’s office, and several guitars signed by many of the top stars of Nashville.

Troy Miller, President of NRB TV, is a guest speaker at the Rhinestone Gala. He is the USA Honorary Chairman for World Orphans Day for The Stars Foundation, and a director of The Stars Foundation.

The Stars Foundation was founded by Cheryl Robeson-Piggott in the early 2000’s and founded World Orphans Day in 2006. The Stars Foundation is a United States Based 501c3 non-profit organization. It serves as an advocacy organization for the underprivileged children and youth of the world. They advocate for global peace, and goodwill between nations as well as fighting for justice for the oppressed. In its humanitarian efforts, over $115,000,000 dollars of goods in kind have been sent around the world.
