SYNOPSIS

 A surface trough extending across the northwest Caribbean is producing showers and isolated thunderstorms this morning. A gradual decrease is expected from this evening as the trough drifts further west of the Cayman Islands. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds and seas are expected in association with this feature. Higher than normal tides may amplify flooding of low-lying areas. Radar images show scattered bands of rain and thundershowers mainly south of the Cayman Islands drifting north
