Collas Crill Partner Simon Hurry relocates to the Cayman Islands

Simon Hurry

Simon Hurry, Partner Collas Crill’s Global Insolvency and Corporate Disputes team, has relocated to the Cayman Islands from the Channel Islands.

Simon has more than 15 years of multi-jurisdictional litigation and alternative dispute resolution experience, having previously been based in the firm’s Cayman Islands jurisdiction on secondment from 2015 until 2018.

In 2024, he became the first lawyer and one of only four individuals in the Channel Islands to be recognised as an INSOL Fellow, having passed the Global Insolvency Practice Course.

On his relocation, Simon said: “I am delighted to be returning to our Cayman Islands office having been part of the dispute resolution team with Stephen Leontsinis when Collas Crill merged with CARD (Charles Adams Ritchie & Duckworth) in 2015. The Cayman Islands office has gone from strength to strength since that time and I look forward to contributing towards its continued success.’

Stephen Leontsinis, Cayman Managing Partner and Global Head of Insolvency and Corporate Disputes at Collas Crill said: “During his secondment in Cayman in 2015, Simon became a close friend and trusted colleague during my early days at the firm. Happily, he has chosen to make the Cayman Islands his home once again. His experience and expertise will be a huge asset to the Cayman team as we continue to grow the practice both locally and abroad. I’m very much looking forward to working with him again as he starts the next chapter of his career – and family life – with us here.
