Needles Brings Japanese and American Influences to Reebok’s Iconic Instapump Fury Sneaker, Available November 14

BOSTON) November 8, 2024 – Today, Reebok, the iconic and irreverent sports culture brand, announced for the second time in 2024 a collaboration with Japanese fashion label Needles. The resulting Needles x Reebok special edition Instapump Fury combines Needles’ unique blend of Americana and Japanese elements with Reebok’s celebrated laceless, split sole, carbon plated runner from ‘94. The Needles x Reebok Instapump Fury 94 ($220 MSRP) will be available November 14 exclusively with Needles & Japan before its wider global release from Reebok.com and select retailers on November 21.

Needles, under the creative direction of Nepenthes founder Keizo Shimizu, has made significant impacts in the fashion world by reconstructing and reimagining classic pieces. Known for its signature butterfly emblem and deconstructed designs, Needles has aimed to redefine footwear through past collaborations with Reebok—most notably reintroducing the cult-favorite Beatnik slide in both 2018, 2023, and again in 2024.

“We’re eager to enter the next chapter of our collaboration with Reebok, which has now spanned over five years,” said Keizo Shimizu, Founder and Designer of Needles. “From our initial three-way collaboration with BEAMS to now, we’ve consistently reignited excitement in the industry with our fresh takes on classic styles.”

The Fall 2024 Needles x Reebok Instapump Fury arrives in black and canvas colorway options, offering a nod to past collaborations that featured the same hues. Both styles feature Needles’ signature butterfly detail embroidered on the toe box and a unique patent leather Pump bladder alongside a leather toe and tongue, with pairs shipping in limited-edition collaborative packaging.
