Cayman: Cabinet Post Meeting Summary 7 November 2024
A meeting of the Cabinet was convened on Thursday, 7th November 2024 in the Cabinet Conference Room,
Government Administration Building.
All Ministers and Members of Cabinet were present.
At this meeting Cabinet:
- Confirmed approval granted by circulation on 1st November 2024 in accordance with section 52 of
the Customs and Border Control Act (2024 Revision) for the continuation of the previously agreed
waiver of import duties to Pageant Beach Hotel Ltd; - Approved the issuance of drafting instructions to amend the Customs and Border Control Act
(2024 Revision) and the application form and proposed guidelines for applications for Prohibited
Immigrants; - Approved the transfer of the following Crown land to the Sister Islands Affordable Housing
Development Corporation for use for affordable housing: Block 97B Parcels, 152, 153, 154, 155,
156, 157. 158, 159 and 160 and Block 112A Parcels 175, 176, 177 and 178; - In relation to the National Roads Authority Board:
o Accepted the resignation of Mark Parchment as Chair of the Board and noted its
appreciation for his service; and
o In accordance with section 7(11) of the National Roads Authority Act (2024 Revision)
approved the appointment of Richard Parchment as Chair of the Board; and - Reviewed and noted the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Annual Report for the period 1st July 2023
– 30th June 2024 and authorised the Hon Attorney General to table the Annual Report in
Parliament.
