Shortly after 3:50PM on Monday, 18 November, police received a report of an armed robbery which had taken place in the parking lot of 454 Commercial Centre on Eastern Avenue.

It was reported that a man was held up by three masked men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, and robbed of a large quantity of money and a cell phone. The men then fled the scene in a Honda CR-V, travelling along Eastern Avenue. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.

Police conducted an immediate search and recovered the cell phone. A subsequent search was carried out, during which the suspected vehicle was located. Both the cell phone and vehicle are in the custody of police. However, the suspects remain outstanding.

The matter is under investigation and anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information pertaining to the matter, is asked to contact 911, or call George Town CID at 949-4222.
