Fellow Caymanians & Residents;
As we gather with loved ones to celebrate this joyous season, I am reminded of the power of togetherness. Christmas is more than the decorations and gifts—it is about the bonds that unite us as family, friends, and as a nation.
In this season of togetherness, let us reflect on the values that define us as a people: kindness, generosity, and resilience.
We have faced challenges together, including one of the most active hurricane seasons on record, and we have come through.
We have also celebrated triumphs, particularly the inspiring performances of our Caymanian athletes throughout the year. Their success demonstrates that our Islands and people have the talent and determination to excel internationally.
From swimming, sailing, and sprinting shining at the Olympics to footballers making history in the CONCACAF Nations League, cricketers competing in the World T20, and swimmers and sprinters excelling at the CARIFTA Games, our athletes have reminded us that our greatest strength lies in our people, our unity, and our support for one another. Together, they have shown us the power of the spirit of togetherness that defines who we are as Caymanians.
I encourage us to extend the spirit of togetherness beyond our homes this Christmas.
Reach out to someone in need, share a kind word, share a meal, or lend a helping hand. These small, heartfelt acts keep the true meaning of Christmas alive.
On behalf of the People’s Progressive Movement, I wish every family across our three beautiful islands a season filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. May the peace and hope of Christmas guide us into a brighter future together.
Merry Christmas, and may God bless us all, and may he continue to Bless our beloved Cayman Islands.
