How unemployed Caymanians can fight back – “it works”
Anonymous 201192, Aug 21, 2012
I’m a Caymanian that is a supporter of full time employment for the Caymanian people in their own country, the Cayman Islands. Some of this brouhaha on the talk shows is a bit disingenuous, as there are more ways in killing a chicken than ringing it’s neck.
There are products and companies in Cayman led by racially and nationally biased & prejudiced fundamentalists with a rigid agenda to disenfranchise our people keeping them unemployed. There are local projects that benefit the majority of people who hold biased beliefs. They often make racially coded remarks in the news papers against our people. This ideology falls under the umbrella of Modern day Piracy. The Pirates have abandoned ship and have now come ashore, to take the loot from our people and sucking every drop of blood out of our economy for their own benefit.
You the Caymanian people are the consumer’s responsibility to be conscious of whose views you are supporting with your cash. Where you spend your money is very important.
If you are a Caymanian, basic common sense would dictate that you would not knowingly spend your money in an establishment, be it a bank or a grocery store or other business, that does not hire Caymanians and that is openly supporting bigotry against you just because you are Caymanian!. These are companies and businesses whose CEO’S and Human Resources managers speaks out and take action against your rights as a Caymanian to live and work in your own country, they refuse you employment and donates large sums of money to political candidates and organizations that are anti Caymanian and do nothing to create jobs and put our people back to work.
The point of a boycott is for the Caymanian people and our allies to say that we disagree, will not spend our money there and we encourage others not to if they believe in the right to Caymanians to employment in his homeland.
The answer to the prejudice against our people, and the speech that you don’t like that Caymanians are lazy and MORE hate speech:
RECOMMENDATION
A boycott is one way to make it clear how we feel. ‘IT WORKS”.
It is speaking with your wallet.
The principle here is much more important than one person’s opinion.
