Shaping Ocean Leaders: Sustainable Development Skills for SIDS Youth

With funding provided by Our Shared Ocean, an initiative from the Government of Ireland to build research partnerships with SIDS, Island Innovation has designed a comprehensive 7-week online course, Shaping Ocean Leaders: Sustainable Development Skills for SIDS Youth,running through April and May.
“Shaping Ocean Leaders: Sustainable Development Skills for SIDS Youth”will provide participants with an understanding of the interplay between social, economic, and environmental factors crucial for fostering sustainable practices.
This virtual training course in Sustainable Development for post-graduate students from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) is tailored to equip students with a comprehensive understanding and practical skills essential for driving positive change within their communities and beyond, covering a diverse range of topics including sustainable business strategies, cross-sectoral collaboration, and global sustainability initiatives.
It will equip participants with relevant and practical skills that can be applied to their current studies. There will be a fully funded opportunity to attend the Global Sustainable Islands Summit in St. Kitts and Nevis!
You must be enrolled in a relevant post-graduate course at an existing SIDS institution.
Be a citizen of the United Nations’ list of 39 Small Island Developing States or the 18 Regional Commissions (please see list here).
