Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing on West Bay Road. 

Following an operation in East End, officers arrested a 25 year old man on suspicion of attempted murder. 

He is currently being held in police custody while enquiries continue. 

The stabbing took place during the early hours of Saturday morning. A man, also 25, suffered injuries to his neck and body close to the Marriott.

The stabbing is believed to have occurred at the Wet Fest which took place at the Islander Hotel.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
