Lightning from an electrical storm during the early hours of Friday (21) morning hit the WestStar TV tower and has knocked out many of their cable channels. The lightning also hit Master Control causing the local television feed over the air station CITN/Cayman27 being unable to air their live studio show Daybreak. It is not known at this time whether their News27 will air at the scheduled time of 6pm tonight.
