The week starting Monday, 1 October, GIS Spotlight celebrates youth engagement, peace in Cayman and service to the younger generation.

A special radio programme for and by young persons has been connecting with youth for 11 years. Now Youth Flex has reached another major milestone with its 500^th show. Join GIS Spotlight for a behind the scenes peek at youth power in broadcast action on this memorable occasion.

Experience its impact on youth personalities over the years who took this act forward and made it a fruitful partnership between Youth Services and Radio Cayman.

Next stop is Cayman’s first Peace Day celebrations where as a nation we joined 182 other countries to register our vote for worldwide peace. See how you can make the powerful theme that “Peace Begins with Me” a part of your everyday life long after the one-day observance and pledge.

Finally, but equally importantly, remember you still have time to nominate your hero who selflessly provides service to Cayman’s youth. With the deadline of 10 October fast approaching, see how you can submit your entries for these awards in several categories, which are to be presented next National Heroes Day.
