2012 Course:
Swim Details and full maps are available in the Athlete Guide (available on the CIT website www.triathlon.ky).
Bike Course – From transition cyclists will head North up West Bay road to the turnaround point by the Turtle Farm. The Sprint distance is 2 loops and the Olympic distance is 4 loops.
Run Course – From transition runners will head South down West Bay road to the turnaround point at the South end of the Westin. The Sprint distance is 2 loops and the Olympic distance is 4 loops.
2011: 108 individuals (55 Olympic distance, 53 Sprint distance) and 16 teams (13 Olympic, 3 Sprint) took part in the 2011 Cayman Islands Triathlon on Sunday, November 6th.
Marius Acker (2h9m37s) and Pam Abbott (2h26m31s) won the Olympic distance (1500m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run).
Ray Welds (1h9m47s) and Nicola Moore (1h23m50s) won the Sprint distance (750m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run).
2010: Marius Acker and Ashley Naelon took male and female victory in the Olympic distance.
Adrien Royston and Marlene West were the winners in the Sprint distance.
2009: In the Olympic Distance, Marius Ackerwas the first man home with a time of 2:06:20 – Slightly slower than his 2008 time of 2:05:32. Julie-Anne Pearson was first home in the Olympic Distance for the ladies, with a time of 2:34:58 – much improved on her 2008 time of 2:49:02. In the Sprint Distance, Ray Welds came first for the men with a time of 1:11:02 and Katie Lambert was first woman home with 1:19:58.
