Kids almost steal the Abigail show

People who attended the Abigail Kelly concert at St. George’s Anglican (Episcopal) Church at the end of last month were not only entertained by one of the finest classical sopranos to visit our islands but the St George’s Anglican Youth Choir were also worthy of the price of the ticket themselves.

The Youth Choir sang Glory Train, complete with actions and a Cayman Song Selection in traditional Caymanian costumes that included a hilarious duet between two of the younger members that had everyone in stitches of laughter.

And not to be upstaged by her young choir Abigail came back to sing the lead to their vocals on “Wade in the Water”.

Plans are already being made to bring back to St. George’s not only Abigail but the Welsh songbird Lisa Carlisle who was here in 2011 and 2010.
