Proud Sponsors for Men’s Day
Two weekend events — a local football tournament, followed by an “Evening of Super-men”– will mark this year’s International Men’s Day (IMD).
This is the second consecutive year that the Cayman Islands will join the rest of the world in honouring the achievements and positive contributions of men and boys. Generous community donations have made the activities possible.
Leading the list of donors was corporate platinum sponsor KRyS Global, which gave CI $2000. Other event sponsors were Davenport Development, Hydes & Sons, Island Taste, the Estella Scott-Roberts Foundation, Saxon MG, Rotary Club Grand Cayman, Dart, Flowers Bottled Water, Ogier, Grand Old House, Trident Trust, the 1000 Man March, Rotary Club Grand Cayman and MaplesFS.
Senior Manager at KRyS Global, Christopher Smith, said his company was pleased to give to such a worthy cause.
“We were delighted to have an opportunity to participate in this initiative and we strongly support local organizations that identify and recognize role models in the community. “
The Department of Counselling Services’ Family Resource Centre (FRC) in partnership with the Ministry of Community Affairs, Gender and Housing, has taken the lead in organising the IMD celebrations.
