Caring For Life Foundation Donates Breast Pump to Maternity Unit

 

Lizzette Yearwood, HSA Chief Executive Officer, Tessa Bodden, CFLF Board Advisor and Sarah Hobbs, Deputy Chairperson of CFLF presenting the new breast pump to the Maternity Unit.

The Caring for Life Foundation (CFLF) donated breast pump to the Maternity Unit at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority (HSA). The handover took place on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012.

Sarah Hobbs, Deputy Chairperson of CFLF, was present for the handover along with Tessa Bodden, a fellow CFLF Board Advisor. Lizzette Yearwood, HSA Chief Executive Officer, and the Nurse Manager of the Maternity Unit, Shannon Hydes, were both present on to accept this gift.

We are extremely grateful for the generosity of the Caring for Life Foundation, these supplies are a necessity in the maternity unit, and are always in high demand” stated Dr Marilyn McIntyre, Head of Child Health. “New mothers will benefit greatly from the use of this pump, especially mothers who have premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
