Gunman disarmed, beaten at [Jamaican] exotic club
A gunman who attempted to rob patrons at an exotic club got the shock of his life on Saturday night, when he was set upon, beaten and handed over to the police along with his weapon.
The high drama took place at one of the many ‘go-go’ clubs along the popular Port Henderson Road hip strip better known as ‘Back Road’.
Information reaching THE STAR indicate that the gunman learned the hard way that, weapon or not, he should never disturb patrons in the middle of a hot, exotic go-go set..
The St Catherine South police who have confirmed taking the man into custody on suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, after he was handed over to them, say they are conducting further investigations into the matter, and have declined to release his identity.
It is reported that about 11 p.m. the gunman went to the club that was in full swing with ladies showing all parts of their bodies. He reportedly brandished a 9mm Browning pistol and started robbing patrons.
According to reports, the gunman was overpowered by the patrons and the gun taken from him. The police were called and the gunman and the weapon were handed over to the lawmen.
The police said when checked, the weapon was loaded with 13 rounds of 9mm cartridges. The incident did not stop the activities at the club, THE STAR learnt, as immediately after the lawmen left with the suspect, the show continued as if nothing had happened.
