Child in hospital after being struck by taxi van
A 4-year-old cruise ship passenger is currently being treated in hospital for leg injuries after being struck by a taxi van in the Public Beach car park yesterday afternoon.
The child, a Mexican national who was visiting Grand Cayman with her family for the day, approached the taxi van just before 2.00pm yesterday.
The child apparently fell and was struck by the vehicle. She was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital suffering from leg injuries. She is currently being treated and her injuries are not thought to be serious.
