Mourant Ozannes announces 2012-2013 legal scholarship recipient Ruth-Beth Jackson
The Mourant Ozannes biennial scholarship which is open to students either about to start, or who have started, a Bachelor of Law degree at either the Cayman Islands Law School or abroad, has been awarded this year to Ruth-Beth Jackson.
Ruth-Beth, the daughter of Clive and Lorna Jackson, completed her A levels at Cayman Prep and High School, and received her High School Diploma with Honours previously to that from the John Gray High School. Ruth-Beth commenced her Bachelor of Law degree at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom in the Autumn of 2012.
Partner Julian Fletcher noted: “We are very pleased to be able to provide financial assistance towards the cost of Ms. Jackson’s studies and we are in no doubt that she will work hard and do very well as she works towards the attainment of her university degree.”
All Mourant Ozannes scholarship recipients work with the firm for a minimum of four weeks during the summer holidays. Upon completion of their legal degrees, and attainment of satisfactory grades, recipients may be offered the opportunity to pursue Articles of Clerkship with the firm.
