A man is in hospital and another is in police custody following a serious wounding on West Bay Road last night.

At approximately 8.30pm on Tuesday, 22 January 2013, police received a report of a disturbance at the vehicle pull in area at the front of Tiki Beach, where a man had received a wound to his neck. The injured person, who is a 27-year-old local man, was conveyed to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town and admitted for surgery. His condition is described as critical but stable.

A 65-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
