Second murder in 48 hours
Police have confirmed a man has been shot dead in West Bay.
This latest shooting comes less than 48 hours after Robert Bush was murdered in a car, also in the West Bay area.
Detectives were carrying out a detailed search of Sand Hole Road near Cobalt Coast where the shooting took place around 9pm on Thursday night.
Sources say the man received multiple gun shot wounds. Paramedics were called but despite treatment the man died.
A RCIPS spokesman said: “At 8:55 p.m. on Thursday, 15 September 911 Emergency Centre received a call that a male was shot at Sand Hole Road in West Bay.
“Police and paramedics responded to the scene where they discovered a young male with gunshot wounds. Male was unconscious and unresponsive. It was obvious the male had suffered fatal injuries.
“Police is urgently seeking any information that can assist them in their investigation.
“Persons are asked to call West Bay Police Station at 949-3999 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).”
Father of one Mr Bush, 28, died on Tuesday night. Police are yet to make any arrests.
It is not yet clear if the two incidents are related.
