The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, with the support of the Cayman Islands Red Cross, is inviting the public to join them on the Crescent at Camana Bay from 6 to 6.30pm on Thursday, 14 February, to add their voices to the global call for an end to violence toward women.

Local Bollywood dance teacher Rachna Buxani, will be there to demonstrate the dance. She will then explain the moves from start to finish before getting everyone to perform the dance together.

Around the world, people are learning the steps to a simple dance to the song “Break the Chain”, which will be performed for One Billion Rising. A dance tutorial is available online on the One Billion Rising website – www.onebillionrising.org – so that the public may practice the steps in advance.

The song moves us beyond words, and now you can move with it! Dance ICON, and award winning choreographer Debbie Allen has choreographed a dance just for ONE BILLION RISING. The music video features Allen with the over 80 teen V-Girls and singers bringing their radical RISING energy to locations across NYC.
