UnknownEx Scotiabank employee admits $150,000 theft

Kimberlie Arch Bush, a former Scotiabank employee admitted to stealing around $150,000 from her dead grandmother’s bank account, as well other customer accounts, last Tuesday (26)

Bush appeared in court along with fellow employee, Staci Ann Brown.

Unknown-1Three Jamaican men to be charged with ganga importation

Three Jamaican men, Paul Betty, Telta Warner and Wesley Barrett, who were accused of illegal landing returned to court last Tuesday (26) to face a joint charge of importing approximately 350 pounds of ganja.

The three men are accused of smuggling drugs in a canoe from Jamaica. They were arrested earlier this month after a drug bust in East End.

The men are due to appear in court again next month and until then will remain in custody at HMP Northward.

Chairman of the Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA), Richard (Dick) Arch has requested an independent company to review findings of an internal audit

During a board meeting at the end of last year, the Authority’s financial controller was dismissed and Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Jackson suspended on full pay. In a statement released last Tuesday (26) Mr. Arch questioned what he described as leaks to the media.

“It would seem that in this country, at this time, one cannot trust the privacy of conversation and communication.”
