Family fun at Little Cayman Ag Show
The show is scheduled for this Saturday, 23 March at the Little Cayman Museum and Marine Museum Grounds and is shaping up to be an educational and fun event.
The opening ceremony is at 10:00 a.m. and the show officially closes at 4:00 p.m. The entrance to the Show Grounds has been changed this year to Blossom Village Drive, rather than Guy Banks Road, as has been the case for the past two years.
Cayman Islands Agriculture shows are great for families, because they provide so much to do, learn and see and the Little Cayman show is no different. The shows bring together a celebration of local traditions, crafts, produce and entertainment.
In addition to plants sales from the Department of Agriculture, there will be the popular coconut toss competition and dog show. The Fire Department, Health Services and Police Department will be providing demonstrations throughout the day. New features that have been added to the show are horseshoe pitch and Central Caribbean Marine Institute’s Quadrille dance team. Localz Band and Little Cayman Baptist Church Choir will be providing the day’s musical entertainment.
General admission to the show is $5 for adults or $2 children ages four to 10; or $10, which includes a raffle ticket. The raffle’s top prize is $1,000 donated by the Tibbetts Foundation. Telecommunications company LIME is providing a smart phone and there will many more prizes.
