Shots fired at police – Two more arrests made

Two men, aged 23 and 30 years, have been arrested and are currently detained in police custody in connection with the incident last week where shots were fired at police officers in Lakeside.

The men were arrested this morning following a police operation in the George Town area . The 30-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defeat the ends of justice and the 23-year-old on suspicion of possession of an unlicensed firearm and attempted murder.

They remain in police custody while enquiries continue.
