Dominican Olympic runner ready to run at the highest level
After reaping three wins in as many races in 2013 in the United States, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, Santos confirmed this weekend to reporters that he was ready to debut at the Diamond League in six days in Shanghai, China. A year ago, the subtitle of London finished second in the overall accumulated that competition, and now plans to compete in six stops: Oregon, United States, Paris, London, Stockholm, Zurich, Switzerland, and Brussels.
I feel much better compared to May 2012, said Santos, who debuted twelve months ago in the 400 meters outdoors with 45.29 seconds in the Grand Prix de Guadalupe, and recently did with 44.74.
That record is the second best of the season at 44.72 seconds behind the Grenadian Kirani James, king of the appointment under the five rings in the British capital.
In addition to these powers, the Dominican intendeds to compete in the Central American and Caribbean Championships based in Morelia, Mexico, next July.
Santos won the 400metres at the 2013 Cayman Invitational on Wed 9th May.
