British woman’s mysterious death at Caribbean Club makes world headlines

A British woman has died in mysterious circumstances on a paradise Caribbean isle.

Glamorous Shakara Taylor, 31, was found outside the luxury Caribbean Club apartments in the Cayman Islands.

The ex-lap dancer had suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shakara, formerly of Blackpool, Lancs, moved to the Caribbean three years ago and was engaged to fiancé David Ravenscroft.

She once told how she turned to lap dancing after quitting her civil service admin job. She said: “All week I’d be in a suit, taking shorthand, and at weekends I could be someone completely different.”

Another friend, Tia Grimshaw, wrote: ‘Wow, it’s not right that a few months ago I was sat on the same table as her. Sleep tight beautiful.’

Chloe Timmins added: ‘RIP to a very dear family friend.’

A Foreign Office spokesman said: ‘We can confirm the death of British national Shara Taylor on the Cayman Islands on May 28.’
